Isn’t this place closed for refurbishment at the moment? At least that’s what a notice on the door said when I went there on Saturday night and the place was in darkness.

James, you are right!

On Novelli’s facebook page it says: “Season is over! Novelli’s is now closed for refurbishment and will re-open in April again”.

novelli has pulled the plug out of the hotel ,it has nothing at all to do with him since Dec 09.I was there and the food wasnt as good, but the hotel will probably trade on his name.Basically the local ex pats I think saw this as their own private club, you know the sort “all right mate” cockneys with a few bob but not as rich as they like to prtend.
Novelli did the right thing here.
